Following the award-nominated critically acclaimed ‘Film Music’ collection, comes the first in a series of stand-alone reissues documenting the astonishing body of work of Tariverdiev.

First up is the complete Original Soundtrack to the Soviet blockbuster satire THE IRONY OF FATE available for the first time in the west as a single vinyl LP or CD. It contains some of the most popular Russian songs of the 1970s and the original tracks have been mastered from Mikael’s own tapes in tandem with his widow Vera Tariverdieva and complete with sleeve notes by Earth collaborator Stephen Coates.

COMING SOON: In October 2014, the extraordinary themes and improvisations for the Soviet TV series OLGA SERGEEVNA will be released in the West for the first time on deluxe double vinyl and CD.

The original series was directed by Aleksandr Proshkin based on a story by Edvard Radzinsky and featured several film stars with the lead role of Olga played by screen siren Tatiana Doronina. The OST contains some of the composer's most startling and moving work and contains the US music academy awarded theme which brought him tantalising close to recognition in the West.
